    Complete the registration process, search for suitable internships and apply. You can also search and contact any company of your choice.
  2. How can students register on HelloIntern?
    Fill in the student registration details and submit. Check the registered email address for an email with activation link. Click on the link and activate your account. Upload your resume and a recent photograph. Search for internships and apply. Simple!
  3. What benefits do students get by enrolling with HelloIntern?
    HelloIntern is an absolutely free portal for students without any registration charges or membership fee! We act as a bridge between the student-organization fraternity and help both the sides achieve their goals. We provide students with internship opportunities across all industries and from numerous good companies.
  4. In general, what is the duration of an internship? Can the duration be increased or decreased?
    Internships are generally planned for a span of 6 months (maximum). However, the exact tenure varies from organization to organization, depending on the projects at hand and their resource allocation.
  5. How can I submit a resume along with my application?
    Resumes that are uploaded on your account are automatically submitted every time you click 'Apply' for interested job postings. To upload a resume, go to 'My Resumes' section, click 'Add Resume' and upload document. You can either upload a text resume or a word / PDF document.
  6. What are the acceptable formats for uploading resumes?
    Word & PDF documents are allowed up to 5 MB size.
  7. How can I submit a cover letter or other supporting materials along with my application?
    You can add cover letter and other documents in support of your profile. The procedure is same as uploading a resume. Make sure you select the appropriate 'Name' and 'Description' to distinguish it from Resume.
  8. I have applied for an internship, what is the next step?
    The company gets a notification about your application. After the company receives the required number of applications they contact prospective candidates. Alternately, you can also check upon your application status by getting in touch with the company using Contact button. However, it is advisable to wait for at least a week before contacting the company.
  9. What does 'Shortlisted' & 'Closed' indicate for Internships that I have applied?
    'Shortlisted' indicates that a student has been selected by the company as a prospective candidate for the internship. 'Closed' indicates that your application has not met the criteria set by the employer.
  10. What is the chance of getting a full-time opportunity after internship?
    All hiring decisions are made by organizations, as per their hiring policies.
  11. What is, in general, the stipend paid for an internship?
    Stipend is decided by organizations and different organizations have different stipend structure.
  12. Are all internships paid? Can there be un-paid internships as well?
    Companies offer both paid and un-paid forms of internships. Stipend related decisions are taken by organizations.
  13. My password is not being accepted. What should I do?
    In this case, please click on 'Forgot Password' option and enter your registered email address. An email would be sent to your registered email address, containing your password details. In some instances, due to technical issues the email might go to the spam folders. Please check your spam folders in case you do not receive a support email from HelloIntern.
  14. I wish to apply for an internship opportunity that I spotted a few days back, but unable to see now. What should I do?
    In this case you can drop an email to info@hellointern.com, with the details of the internship and the date you saw it. Our team will respond quickly and assist you in finding and applying for the position.
  15. Could you elaborate on the participating companies and the job profiles offered?
    HelloIntern is platform open for all organizations, operating in any industry. We have some leading companies registered with us, looking for interns. So you have all the chances to bag great offers from good companies.
  16. I cannot find internships related to my field. What do I do next?
    Please try searching with multiple key words, for internship requirements might carry more than one keyword. Also, please read the descriptions well in order to understand the profile, for at times the internship designation might not be relevant while the profile is apt. However, if you still fail to find internships related to your field, please drop a mail to info@hellointern.com and we will address the issue at the earliest.
  1. How does HelloIntern.com work for companies?
    Complete the registration process, post your internship, receive student applications and contact candidates. You can also search and contact any candidate of your choice.
  2. How can companies register on HelloIntern?
    Fill in the company registration details and submit. Check the registered email address for an email with verification link. Click on the link and activate your account. Create and Post internships and receive applications!
  3. I have successfully registered as a company, what is the next step?
    Sign-in to HelloIntern using the common login portal for students / companies. Click on 'Internship Postings' in the top left corner, Click 'Create job posting' fill in the details and you can either click 'Activate' to display the job on website or 'Save' to activate it later.
  4. How to create Most Effective Internship Postings (MEIPs)?
    Under 'Skills required' list the competencies point wise so that it is easier for students to understand what is expected and how their background and experience will suit the internship. Under 'Description' include at least a paragraph about the job role and responsibilities. Additional details about knowledge, degree/diploma and previous experience that will make it easier for an intern to quickly take up the role and advance also help. You can also add key takeaways or skills that an intern can acquire / develop through this internship.

    In 'Company Description' field of 'My Profile' menu include brief information about your company background and your service or product offering.
  5. What are the 'Active' & 'Inactive' statuses for internship posting?
    • Internship postings that have 'Active' status are displayed on the website and are visible in search results. Students can apply for 'Active' jobs.
    • 'Inactive' status indicates that the posting is not displayed on the website and is not visible in search results.
  6. What is the process after I post an internship?
    • Your internship will immediately be displayed under the Latest Internships tab on Home Page.
    • Every time a student applies to your internship you will receive an email notification on your registered email ID. The notification will contain the link to student profile. To avoid the notifications going to SPAM folder or get categorized under different tabs, please add webmaster@hellointern.com in Contacts or Address book of your email service. In case of Gmail, you can drag and drop earlier conversations from HelloIntern.com (such as activation email sent by webmaster@hellointern.com ) onto Primary folder in case the service has placed it in a different folder.
  7. How do I get my Internship Featured and what are the costs & benefits?
    If you would like your internship to get featured separately, contact info@hellointern.com.
  8. Is there any limit on the number of active jobs?
    Currently, only 5 active internship postings are allowed at one time. However, there is no limit on the number of postings you can create.
  9. I have successfully registered, is my company visible to applicants?
    A company is visible to applicants, only if the company profile has 'Active' internship postings. To check, visit 'My Internship Postings' page in your profile and look for postings that are 'Active'.
  10. How do I check the applications I received for my internship posting?
    Sign-in to your profile and click on 'Applications received'. Here you will find the list of applicants, who have applied to your job posting.
  11. How to proceed after receiving sufficient applications for an internship?
    • After your internship has received the expected number of applications, deactivate the internship posting from the portal. Shortlist the candidates that meet your selection criteria. The selected candidates are notified automatically. Please note that it is primarily your responsibility to notify the candidates of their status within a reasonable period of time.
    • You can contact shortlisted candidates using the Contact button or the information listed in their Resume.
    • Note: Users that have active internship postings but do not sign-in to their accounts at least once in 30-45 days will have their accounts blocked automatically.
    • If you face problem with receiving enough applications or would like candidates recommended to you, write to info@hellointern.com.
  12. What is the shortlist feature?
    Shortlisting indicates that the candidate is a prospective match for the internship. It becomes easier to categorize and notify potential candidates among the pool of applicants. A candidate shortlisted is notified by the system about their status.
  13. My organization offers internship for 6 months. For how long can interns work with us?
    The duration of internship completely depends on the organization and its agreement with the intern.
  14. Can a company hire a student before the completion of the internship tenure?
    The decision to hire any candidate is taken by the organization alone. HelloIntern is not involved or responsible for any hiring / placement decision.
  15. My company wishes to advertise on HelloIntern website. How to go about it?
    We thank you for expressing interest in HelloIntern and welcome you to associate with us. All advertising related questions can be sent to info@hellointern.com. We will contact you at the earliest.
  1. What is HelloIntern?
    We are an internship portal for Students seeking Internships and Companies seeking Interns. Our aim is to bring the concept of internship / apprenticeship to the center stage as it is a crucial bridge in the development of our society.
  2. Is there a separate login page for students and companies?
    The login portal is common for both students and companies.
  3. I did not receive an email with the account activation link. How do I proceed?
    In case you have not received the Activation Email in your Inbox or Spam folders, that means your email account is not allowing new emails to be received as your Inbox is full. Please clear your existing Inbox emails to create room for new emails. Sign-in to your Hellointern account using the Login button on top. You will be prompted with an option to re-send the activation email. Click Re-send to receive the activation email. If this doesn't work then use the Contact form.
